Dawn was introduced to the green industry in 2012 when she joined Advanced Turf Solutions as a marketing coordinator. Since then, the company has grown, and so has Dawn’s role. From a one-woman marketing department to the team leader of a full-service marketing agency, Dawn’s experience includes product marketing at the manufacturing, distribution, and retail levels.
Dawn earned a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University. She also earned the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) designation in Marketing Management from the American Marketing Association. Dawn serves on the board of directors for the Turf and Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA) and is the Communications Co-Chair on the board for the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Dawn is passionate about marketing and loves helping businesses grow. She enjoys yoga, YouTube, tea, and making new friends.
Digital Marketing Specialist
Britney had little green industry knowledge before joining Advanced Turf Solutions in 2014, but since then she has learned from the best in the industry. She gets expert advice about the lifecycles of insects from entomologists, turf and ornamental diseases from plant pathologists, turfgrass management from former golf course superintendents, and baseball field maintenance from former AAA head groundskeepers.
Britney graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. At Xylem Marketing, Britney works with all things digital. Among other things, she writes blogs, crafts social media posts, and composes email newsletters. When she’s not at work, Britney enjoys going on walks with her dogs (a Chiweenie and a Cane Corso), overeating chocolate, watching gymnastics, and researching new words on Urban Dictionary.
Marketing Media Coordinator
Growing up with a father in agronomy, Courtney is no stranger to the green industry. Summer breaks were spent helping to collect data at test plots and visiting nurseries and golf courses. Despite mostly tagging along for a lunch trip to Burger King, she did gain insight into turfgrass and ornamental science and developed an appreciation for those that make their living in this industry.
Courtney is a graduate of Ball State University with a B.A. in Spanish and has a Social Marketing Certification from the Hootsuite Academy. At Xylem Marketing, she combines her love of reading with her passion for writing to create marketing content, including blogs, press releases, and web copy. She is the mom of two girls, a huge B movie fan, and can now drive herself to Burger King.
Graphic Designer - Multimedia
Justin joined the Advanced Turf Solutions marketing team in 2016 and was involved in the launch of Xylem Marketing soon after. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science in New Media Communication.
Justin is a creative who loves watching projects come to life. At Xylem Marketing, he can be found working on an array of projects from graphic design to video and even photography. A multi-talented artist, Justin brings thoughtful design and an eye for detail to each project.
Justin spends his free time staying up to date with the latest sneaker culture, watching random documentaries, riding his bike, and going to concerts.
Victoria’s love for art and storytelling led her to believe she would grow up to be a graphic novelist. Later on down the road, she found a better fit for her and her interests in the form of graphic design. She went on to graduate from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Design, and the rest is to be continued…
A keen eye for print and publication design is what Victoria brings to the table at Xylem Marketing. You can catch her working on the layout for a new catalog, designing an ad, or drafting a product label or two. When not at work, you can find her overwatering her house plants, trolling around a Goodwill, or experimenting with recipes in the kitchen.
Growing up in a John Deere Franchise, Casey has been immersed in the turf and agriculture equipment industries for well over 20 years. His early summers were spent sweeping floors and eventually working parts counters and tagging along with his father on emergency weekend customer calls. Through this experience, Casey learned the formula for successful long-term business relationships—a combination of mentorship, teamwork, and product knowledge coupled with taking care of customers while treating them like family. Casey’s experience eventually matured into wearing multiple hats for his family’s business, including managing a $1M marketing budget and third-party partnerships across multiple brands offered through the John Deere Franchise.
Casey earned a Bachelors of Science in Business, dual majoring in Management and Marketing from Indiana University-Bloomington’s Kelley School of Business. While at IU, Casey experienced a year of playing Big Ten football, and it is also where he meant his wife, Nicole. They share two toddlers together. When not spending “play time” with his kids, Casey enjoys lifting weights, road cycling, taking his Belgian Malinois on runs, and watching IU football and basketball.
