Job Summary:

Xylem Marketing, a division of Advanced Turf Solutions, is seeking a creative, full-time, onsite Marketing & PR Content Writer. This position works closely with our Content Manager and other marketing team members to support the organization’s strategic plan and departmental goals via researching, planning, implementing, and evaluating Advanced Turf Solutions’ strategic marketing communications plans.

The Marketing & PR Content Writer position requires someone who is a strong writer, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about media trends. You should be a self-starter, creative thinker, collaborative contributor, and display a positive attitude. This role requires personable communication skills as they will interact with sales representatives, vendor partners, media contacts, and customers to produce all forms of written communication, including, but not limited to, headlines, support copy, long-form content, collateral, sales materials, press releases, website copy, and social media.

Duties:

  • Assist Content Manager with marketing concepts, research, media outreach, conducting interviews, drafting press releases, and writing and editing green-industry content for print, web, social media, email, and other channels
  • Manage blog schedules, coordinate with sales reps, and edit and optimize content for SEO
  • Review and update previously published content as needed
  • Assist with tracking analytics and developing reports related to media mentions, newsletter readership, and website traffic
  • Proofread and edit content written by others on the marketing team
  • Implement an integrated, proactive, strategic communications plan to expand Advanced Turf Solutions’ brand identity, to broaden awareness of a variety of green-industry products, and to increase the visibility of our initiatives across key stakeholder audiences
  • Assist with incoming customer inquiries via social media and email
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with media contacts
  • Draft, distribute, and pitch media materials and press releases
  • Ensure all agency content is in line with plan and branding strategy
  • Bring new ideas for content creation to the team
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • 1+ years of prior internship and/or work experience in PR, media relations, or content marketing is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a command of grammar and MLA Style Guide – writing samples required
  • Must be able to write in both professional and conversational/personable tones
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-disciplined
  • Embrace a positive attitude and eagerness to seek out feedback
  • Ability to coordinate projects from inception to completion and meet demanding deadlines
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team

eCommerce Marketing Specialist

Advanced Turf Solutions is looking for a multifaceted marketer with a strategic and analytical mind to take on marketing automation, email marketing, and B2B eCommerce. Our ideal candidate is both creative and technical, part artist and part data scientist.

Previous eCommerce and marketing automation experience is preferred but not required. In addition to compensation commensurate to experience and a generous benefits package, this position offers mentorship, professional development, and opportunities for growth.

The eCommerce Marketing Specialist will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Sales Support and work on cross-departmental teams with marketing, IT, and sales.

Duties:

  • Marketing automation and CRM administration responsibilities:
    • Work with marketing and sales stakeholders to develop measurable email and marketing automation campaign objectives
    • Design, build, and implement marketing workflows
    • Create emails, landing pages, forms, and campaigns
    • Evaluate email marketing campaigns for trends, set up reporting dashboards, and provide feedback on campaign performance and email measurement statistics
    • Assist with the onboarding of new Salesforce Community users
    • Assist with list development and data hygiene
    • Upload contact lists into Salesforce from various sources, remove duplicate data entries, and convert contacts into leads
    • Assist with sales support activities and identify opportunities to better support the sales team
  • eCommerce job functions:
    • Collect content and imagery for products and update, add, and maintain product details on the company’s website
    • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to assist in the rollout of website changes
    • Inspect landing pages, product information, checkout options, and all other pertinent website-related systems to ensure their visual appeal, accuracy, and ease of use
    • Monitor website traffic and customer reviews to gauge responses to site updates
    • Monitor and report on eCommerce impact from digital marketing campaigns
    • Ensure the accuracy of company information across search engine platforms and partner websites
  • Research and analysis responsibilities:
    • Study market conditions, competitors’ activities, and consumer behavior
    • Identify trends, areas of opportunity, and potential improvements to drive business growth
    • Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends, and competitors and report data to decision-makers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, information technology, economics, business, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong technical and research skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets knowledge (macros and formula)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and self-disciplined
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
  • Experience with Salesforce, preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation software, preferred
